(February 27, 2021 – Saugus, MA) The Over-30 Hockey League and the Mylec Corporation would like to congratulate Matty Iannello on becoming the All-Time Leading Points Scorer in both regular season Goals and Assists.
Playing in his 49th season, and over 25-years, Matty scored his 508th goal to become the first player in the league’s 29-year history to lead all players in Goals (508) and Assists (749) for an All-Time league-leading 1257 Points that were all scored using a traditional Mylec Airflow hockey stick.
In an age when many dek hockey players have made the jump to composite sticks, Matty has stayed true to the game’s street hockey origin and Mylec’s iconic Airflow Blade. His teammates and league peers have often regarded him as one on the game’s best and most prolific passers to ever play the game.
Matty (51) and his trusted Mylec, played the tournament circuit with the Seahawks, which included his fellow Over-30 Hockey League players, Dan Broderick (Seahawks founder and Leominster Hockey Hall of Fame Inductee) along with current teammate Jon Picard (Team USA Masters).
The Mylec Corporation wanted to acknowledge Matty’s achievement with a commemorative “508-Goals” Ultra Curve Airflow <204> Stick to compliment the history breaking “508” Mylec ball.
